What’s it like to be part of BGC?

I’m a sketch designer and have been a part of the BGC Residential family for a little over five years. Sometimes on the weekends I work with our new home and land specialists in hosting our display homes throughout Perth.

One of the best things about working for a large and diverse organisation like BGC is the many talented people I have met along the way. Some of these are now friendships I will cherish for life. There’s always a great team spirit and everyone looks after one another. And did I mention we have the best Christmas Parties? I very much look forward to an exciting future with BGC where I can continue making new, amazing life experiences.

My role at BGC Residential is a Contracts Administrator and I have been in this position for over 2 years. As a CA my day consists of being the main point of contact for clients throughout the Administration phase of their build. I enjoy my position of ensuring clients are well informed and happy. Being able to guide clients through such an exciting and huge experience in their lives, is amazing to be a part of.

During my time at BGC, I have truly felt like I am part of a team and the staff culture within this workplace would be of the highest I have been a part of. I thoroughly enjoy working at BGC and working alongside a great team, under great guidance!

I’m Kate Chappell a Prestart Consultant with BGC Residential. I’ve been in this role for 6 years and in the group for over 8 years. I predominately look after clients building their new homes with WA Housing Centre, Commodore Homes, GO Homes, National Homes & Stratawise.

What I enjoy most is meeting my new clients every day and helping work with them to put their ‘pieces of the puzzle’ together that will ultimately make up their new home. It is rewarding to get to the end of a meeting with clients knowing they are happy with the colours and products they have selected for their new home that they will live and grow in with their families.

I’ve been with BGC for nearly 4 years and couldn’t see myself working anywhere else! Initially I was part of Group After Sales department, assisting all clients who built with BGC with their post-build queries, and I am now part of the Impressions team training to be a Contract Administrator.

I have worked on both ends of the building process and love that no matter what stage clients are at, the staff will always go out of their way to make sure all clients are happy and satisfied with their homes. Everyone’s work ethic here is admirable. It is very rewarding to know that you work for an Australian company who are true to their word. I can’t wait to build a home of my own one day through BGC, like many of my colleagues have.

I started working at BGC Residential in 2011, looking after their display program and helping with their job tracking. I was offered a new opportunity in 2012, to help start Now Living and have been there since then, for over 7 years.

I love the diversity of the role, being given opportunities that I wouldn’t have been given elsewhere. For example, being responsible for the interior design of a few of our TERRACE display homes. Also, feeling respected, trusted, heard and valued is why I have stayed at BGC for all these years. Most important thing I have learnt at BGC – that effective leadership is all about understanding your people, what drives them, what their values are and how they need to feel appreciated.

I started working with BGC Residential in 2012, and enjoy working  here as we have the ability to be the most competitive builder in the project building  industry. I enjoy the challenge of working with our sales team to help clients get into their dream home.

My satisfaction is seeing clients get everything they need, at a cost effective price and within their budget.  I love being part of a great team that band together in the best interest of the client, and being able to contribute to this success.

My name is Hannah and I’ve worked at BGC for 11 years, starting at BGC Builders Supplies for 2 years as a Hardware Sales Clerk, then I progressed to a Scheduler and finally an Estimator at HomeStart.

There are so many things I like about working at BGC. Such as, the support over the years, personal progression / growth within the company, the lifelong friends I have made, the culture and the social aspect (great Christmas parties, the social club and other staff events). I also really appreciate that I’m recognised and respected for what I do and I feel that my work has purpose and meaning being part of a process of people getting into their own home.
