The Bonneville display has been designed for a narrow block but the quality of the fit-out has details one would expect to find in much larger homes, which means it caters for people wishing to downsize without loss of quality lifestyle, such as empty-nesters.
The main living areas of the Bonneville are vast despite the narrow lot. The family and dining areas open into the large alfresco area through double sliding-glass doors.
There is a 3m-long island bench with a breakfast-bench shelf, pot drawers and a double pantry. The kitchen, which has high specifications for a cottage, is fitted with 900mm Technika appliances including an underbench oven, gas hob and a smart glass canopy range hood.
“This three-bedroom, two-bathroom display is Commodore’s first narrow-lot display, and is designed to fit on a rear-loaded 12.5m block,” Commodore Homes general manager Anthony Staltari said. “And with the garage situated at the rear, it doesn’t detract from the appealing facade.”
The rendered pillars that support the portico and front veranda certainly give the Bonneville a strong street presence. The hall runs from the entry to the living room. On one side is the home office and a home theatre; on the other is an entry to the family bedroom wing, which has two bedrooms with robes with sliding mirror doors, and a bathroom and separate toilet.
The main suite is left of the main entry hall and has a big walk-in robe behind the bedhead. The open-plan ensuite has a double shower, twin china vanity basins and a separate toilet.
The home office is next to the entry hall and has three vents for natural light. The double garage has two doors at the rear, one opening into the back garden utility area and the other into the laundry, creating a private entry and a drop zone for shopping.
