Modelling a future for young folk

Building company BGC Modular recently opened its Canning Vale worksite to a group of young Aboriginal people taking part in a job-readiness course called Get a Job Bootcamp with the Burnna Yurrul Aboriginal Corporation.

The 12 trainees were given a tour of the site as part of BGC’s association with BYAC, a Guildford-based provider of pre-work training, labour hire and waste-management services to mining and civil contractors in Perth, the Goldfields and the Pilbara.

Match land to plan of choice

To simplify searching for house-and-land packages online, building group BGC Residential has launched a Match with Land service on the websites on its National Homes, Commodore Homes and WA Housing Centre brands.

Homebuyers can access the service by selecting their chosen design on the relevant builder’s website and then clicking the “Match with Land” button, which will present them with land suitable for that design.

BGC partners with Sustainable Energy Association for cost saving advice

Western Australia's leading home building group, BGC, has today announced a new initiative to educate homebuyers on energy and cost saving measures in their new homes.

In partnership with the Sustainable Energy Association of Australia (SEA), all of BGC’s new home customers will be given advice on how to operate their homes in a more energy efficient way and in turn, save money.

Launching the guide, ‘Your 6-Star Guide to operating an energy efficient home’, BGC and SEA have combined strengths, aiming to extend affordability beyond the purchase price and into the running costs of a new home.
