Painting of Internal Walls
It is highly recommended that you use the services of a registered painter should painting of the internal walls not form part of the Building Contract.
We recommend use of a good quality sealer prior to painting internal walls and following paint manufacturer instructions. It is also advisable to use low sheen paint in areas of the home subject to steam (such as bathrooms).
Paintwork can begin to breakdown due to a combination of weather conditions, pollution etc. We recommend you have the external areas repainted as part of your Homeowner Maintenance on a yearly basis.
Coastal areas are more susceptible to paint breakdown due to salt build up which may occur. Regularly washing this build up off external metal painted surfaces (such as gutters & fascias) with fresh water will assist in maintaining the paintwork.
